Who we are

A little different — fresher, truer

We began in 1996 with a few families meeting for potluck Shabbat dinners and services in homes and local parks. Today our members come from Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Cary, Durham, Raleigh, Pittsboro and beyond. Affiliated with the Jewish Reconstructionist movement, we marry the traditional with contemporary insights and make community-wide decisions together through Values Based Decision Making.

Tzedakah

Help fund the moments that shape Kehillah every day

Tzedakah’s true meaning is rooted in the obligation to justice and righteousness. Contributions of any size are vital to sustaining our community, through the General Fund, Religious School, Jewish Preschool, the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, the Cemetery Fund and Tikkun Olam. You can give in celebration of a simcha, to honor someone special, or to remember a loved one.
